This snare is handcrafted with integrity from the finest hand selected lmber. All HHG drums are built by a drummer for drummers. It is made from aromatic Cedar. This is a relatively soft species when compared to Maple or other more traditional tonewoods. This softer wood translates into a crushingly fat backbeat- witb a fast and warm attack, and quick decay. We balanced the softer wood with a thicker shell, around 5/8", this allows the drum to retain plenty of power and volume
The finish on this drum is also unique and handcrafted. The drum is finished with an in-house Blended nitrocellulose high gloss lacquer. Which we customize for each drum to make a vibrant and unique color that maximizes the beauty of the grain in the cedar shell.
