This shell is handcrafted with integrity from the finest hand selected hardwoods. All HHG drums are built by a drummer for drummers. Our goal is to provide our customers with the most musical and articulate drums available today. We guarantee you will love your HHG drum and it will hold a special place in anyone鈥檚 arsenal of instruments, from beginner to professional.
White oak is an excellent tonewood, especially for percussive instruments. We've made many snares out of white oak and found that it has a warm, woody, presence with a bright and clear attack. This works especially well in the context of snare drum, as it provides the definition, clarity, and responsiveness required to execute intricate, and dense patterns, but also the power, punch, and focus for a commanding backbeat.
if you decide to purchase this drum today, we will be making a new one for you from scratch. The nice thing about this is that it allows room for customization. You can get this drum made in any variety of depths, diameters, and even different wood species. we included some of the options available on the listing for this drum, but if you I don't see an option that you're looking for, feel free to send us a message we could absolutely accommodate whatever you can dream up!
Also, we have included several wood options in this listing. You can pick any of these species, and we will make your drum AND your hoops from that species.
