The HHG single point lug is a unique and functional piece of drum hardware. It features a custom styled turret that has four tapered fillets around its outer perimeter, and the top of the turret has an indented concentric circle design. These embellishments serve to enhance the aesthetic of lug as well as remove some mass to make for a lighter more resonant drum.
the tube that receives the tension rods is held in place by an allen-drive set screw that threads in from the bottom of the lug, and passes all the way through a countersunk oval hole in the tube. This makes for an incredibly strong and stable lug, while retaining a small amount of play in the tube to make for perfect alignment between tension rod and lug.
the lug is available in Chrome, oil-rubbed bronze, or gunmetal powder coat. Additionally, if you choose the powder coat option, we can powder coat the lug in any color imaginable, you're not just limited to the gunmetal gray. this lug can also be shipped with one of the hand cut leather washers we use on all of our drums. The washer goes between the lug and the shell, and is cut to fit snuggly around the mounting shoulder of the lug, and extend just slightly past the edge of the lug. We use top grain leather that is punched from the remnants of a local fine footwear shop.
