This snare is handcrafted with integrity from the finest hand selected hardwoods. All HHG drums are built by a drummer for drummers. Our goal is to provide our customers with the most musical and articulate drums available today. We guarantee you will love your HHG drum and it will hold a special place in anyone鈥檚 arsenal of instruments, from beginner to professional. This is a very unique drum with a very unique aesthetic and voice. The foundation of this drum is our handmade, solid wood, Ash Stave shell. A quality drum always starts with a quality shell, and there is no more quality shell available than an HHG stave shell. Our shells are meticulously crafted from hand-selected pieces of the highest grade solid lumber. Stave construction offers many tonal and aesthetic advantages over traditional plywood shells, the most notable being their powerful and articulate voice, followed closely by their unique grain patterns. The finish on this drum is also unique and handcrafted. The drum is finished with an in-house Blended nitrocellulose high gloss lacquer. Which we customize for each drum to make a vibrant and unique color that maximizes the beauty of the grain in the Ash shell.

if you decide to purchase this drum today, we will be making a new one for you from scratch. The nice thing about this is that it allows room for customization. You can get this drum made in any variety of depths, diameters, and different lacquer colors. we included some of the options available on the listing for this drum, but if you I don't see an option that you're looking for, feel free to send us a message we could absolutely accommodate whatever you can dream up!
Pease note that the actual color of the drum you receive may vary from what you see in the pictures. It can be very difficult to communicate the true color of an item through photographs. Additionally, not all Ash Lumber is the same color, which also affects the final color of the lacquer. And finally, we produce each and every drum from scratch, by hand- this means that we custom mix our own pigments for our coloured lacquers. This process also adds a bit of ambiguity in the final color.
